NFL Rushing Leader Odds

Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts won the NFL rushing title last season at 1,811 rushing yards after Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans has won it the last couple of seasons before that. Running the football doesn’t feel as prioritized in the NFL like it used to be. There are teams that like to go with a running back by committee system and there are those that don’t.

When the NFL season begins, sports fans will make NFL picks against the spread for each and every single football game. Speaking of making picks, who has the best odds to win the rushing title in the 2022 NFL season?

Jonathan Taylor and Derrick Henry +500

Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts and Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans both have the best odds to win the 2022 NFL rushing title on BETUS. Jonathan Taylor was the best running back in the NFL last season for Indianapolis. The offense ran through him, but they relied on him way too much.

They made him limit his workload this season. However, their identity is to run the football under head coach Frank Reich. The Colts collapsed in the final two weeks of the NFL regular season and it wasn’t his fault. Jonathan Taylor will have another big year, but will he also get injury prone, and can he also protect the football?

Taylor could be taken high in NFL fantasy drafts this year.

Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans led the league in rushing with 937 yards before he was sidelined after Week 8 with a foot injury for the rest of the regular season.

Henry was probably on his way to a third straight rushing title in the NFL before he got hurt. When he is healthy, Derrick Henry is one of the most electrifying running backs in the NFL.

Head coach Mike Vrabel might limit his carries this season and use a running back by committee system despite his talents. It will be interesting to see whether that happens or not.

Derrick Henry can also win the comeback player of the year award this year as well. Despite missing all of that time last season, he finished in ninth place in rushing yards last season in 2021.

Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb +800

Dalvin Cook of the Minnesota Vikings and Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NFL rushing title on BETUS. Cook was fifth in NFL rushing yards last season at 1,159 yards rushing yards. He is the vocal point of Minnesota’s offense despite having Kirk Cousins at the quarterback position for this football team.

Dalvin Cook is usually a three-down running back. The Vikings offensively are very talented because of him. Cook is going to be very effective in the open field once again this season and could very well win the NFL’s rushing title in 2022.

Nick Chubb will be the featured three-down running back for the Cleveland Browns once again this season. He finished in second place in rushing yards last season in the NFL at 1,259 rushing yards. Chubb has been very consistent year in and year out. He could very well win it eventually.

It didn’t feel like he had a good year last year with what was going on with Cleveland, but the offense always starts with him. However, if Deshaun Watson is available for all 17 games this season for this football team. Chubb’s usage might be reduced because they will then become a pass-first offense under head coach Kevin Stefanski rather than a run-first offense.

Nick Chubb probably would not mind as long as he wins football games. However, if Watson is suspended for any point during the 2022 regular season in the NFL, then they will go back to a run-first offense whether Baker Mayfield or Jacoby Brissett is under center for this football team.
